Like most fresh knitters I found myself knitting a scarf. I had dreamed of a thick chunky scarf that would keep me wonderfully warm all winter, and ended up knitting a pretty basic k5p5 ribbed scarf. But I'd caught the bug and couldn't stop. I found my self knitting everywhere, on the train, in my flat, at home, at relatives, I wanted to get this scarf finished so I could wear it and tell everyone "Look what I knitted". It didn't take long only a week or so and it was done. I added fringing and it became longer than I could have ever imagined (I think I went a little overboard). After i'd finished the scarf I decided to knit a matching hat! and there it was my first hat and scarf duo, and I'm happy to say I'm very proud!

First Time For Everything
In September I started studying Mathematics at University (I know the face your pulling a mixture of :O and :S) but after a few months the nights started drawing in and money started running out and I needed something to do, so I turned to knitting! As you have already guessed I'm not a stereotypical student, but with a lot of help and patience from my Nanny I have grasped the basics and am making a never ending list of what to knit next!
